Mountain View’s Shoreline Amphitheater will again host Google IO 2025 annual developer conference on 20-21 May, 2025. The amphitheater is a few minutes (depending on the traffic) away from the Google headquarters.
The two-day event is expected to have both developers and public focus content. The CEO Sundar Pichai will kick-start the proceedings with a keynote on 20 May, Tuesday. Then several smaller breakout sessions will follow for the army of developers.
Last year’s conference was flooded with talks about Gemini (Google’s generative AI). We can expect more or less the same from this year’s developer conference. Although the focus of I/O conferences has been AI for several years, we can’t expect it to change any soon owing to the increased spark in the industry thanks to competitors like Deepseek and OpenAI.
If you are one of those people who can’t wait a few months to witness the developer conference, the tech giant has put the I/O 2025 website live. This will give you access to some of the de3veloper content from last year including Gemma and Notebook LM.
Developer season is going to kick off in full swing with Nvidia’s GTC in March, Apple’s WWDC in June, and Microsoft Build in May along with Google’s I/O conference.
